The 24-volt DC constant voltage driver regulates the power supply to the fixture. Properly connecting the constant voltage driver to the + and – poles is necessary for the functioning of suspended models. Incorrect wiring may cause operational failures, but it can be corrected without damage.
Connecting the lamp directly without using the driver will result in irreversible damage to the LED strip.
The fixtures hang from the ceiling with self-carrying cables that are specially designed to support the weight and provide current supply for suspended models without the need for additional support structures. The self-carrying cables can be connected directly to the driver.
Prepare the self-carrying cables by stripping the ends to expose the conductive material.
Attach the cables to the respective + and – terminals on the driver, ensuring a secure and stable connection. To ensure the correct polarity, the + cable is marked with a red tape.
Test the connection by powering on the driver and verifying that the fixture operates correctly.
The cable length can be adjusted using cable gliders. To adjust, slide the glider along the cable; it will lock in place upon release. If additional cable length is needed, press the small tube and pull the cable.
The cable gliders feature an M8 thread, which can be securely attached to the suspension accessories or the canopy.
In cases where extra cable length is required, brass connectors can be used to extend the self-carrying cables. Prepare the cables by stripping the ends and inserting them into the brass connectors. Secure the connection by tightening the screws or clamps on the brass connectors.
The driver can be installed in a canopy on the ceiling or remotely.
The canopy may be white, black, or brass. The dimensions are 26/10/5 cm.
When multiple lamps are installed, this can be done by having the power come from one central point or providing a separate connection for each lamp.
If each lamp requires a connection but the canopy cannot be placed remotely, a canopy and driver for each lamp will be needed. If the driver can be placed remotely, a round ceiling rosette with cable gliders will suffice.
For a single power point, small ceiling attachments can be used to position the lamps. The steel current-carrying cables will remain visible and can be joined either in the canopy or if the driver is placed remotely.
The lamps are suspended by a current-carrying coated steel cable. The length can be adjusted with the gliders, which are inserted in the canopy that holds driver or in the ceiling rosette.
For models with brass structures to hold the light elements, the installation process differs slightly. Each element is connected with a hinge that enables the transfer of voltage. The negative (-) voltage runs on the outside of the tube, while the positive (+) voltage runs on the inside and through the hinge itself. When connecting separate elements with the hinge, the positive voltage is seamlessly transferred. To ensure the negative power connectivity, all separate parts must be connected with a short cable, then securely fastened using the brass connector.
